Fibromyalgia pain is debilitating and many people know what this pain feels like. About 2-3% of the general population could explain the pain to you, but, from experience, it feels like "I have a second degree sunburn and you put a wool sweater over the burn." Most of the population that has fibromyalgia are women. The average ages of people that get this disease are between 30 to 50 years old, and the highest race that get it are Caucasian and Hispanic populations. Fibromyalgia is found mostly in North America, Europe, and Australia. 4 million in the United States, 3 million in the United Kingdom, and about 1 million in Australia. About 20% of the people that have fibromyalgia also have chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Fibromyalgia is lifelong and noncurable and the average person waits almost 5 years for a definite diagnosis.
Some of the causes that happened that started the fibromyalgia was:
Physical Trauma, such as an infection, injury or surgery: 25-50%
Menopause: 10%
Childbirth: Up to 8%
Bereavement: 40%
Harmful childhood experiences: 48%

Workplace bullying: 4.1 ratio of incident diagnosed fibromyalgia.
